Description
"The Man Who Made Raz"
Pen & Ink
1870
This is a portrait of Britain's Prime Minister, Benjamin Disraeli. It was drawn by my ancestor, the J. Dangerfield Grey, whom Disraeli found on the streets of London and became a surrogate father to. The title of this simple portrait sketch is mine however, based on my research in which I found it was actually Disraeli which gave this relative of mine his famous nom de plume, Jack Raz (Raz meaning secret in yiddish) which I humbly carry on today.
