Give me your crazy free
All those people who can't quit fit
Who've seen the story
And know the tale
Who can't do small talk
No matter how easy their smile
And sooner or later
Stop trying
Realizing the bliss of one's own thoughts
Bring so much more
Than shallow chit-chat;
Give me all those discarded
By the popular,
The bland,
The boring;
Give me the fat girl who knows
Give me the artist who hides
Give me all the castaways
You plastic people have no use for

And we shall dream together
And pretend
And laugh
And cry
We who know you
Better than we know ourselves
We shall all hide together
Dismissing age limits
For children's magic
Appearing in capes
To masquerade
If for only a night

We are mad
You and I
Yet there is a genius
In our madness
For it is not malicious
Only inquisitive
With jingles and jangles
Harmonicas and lip-gloss
Prefect renditions
And emotional impressions;

So give me the crazies
I'd rather have heated debate
Than smiling betrayal,
I'd rather have soulful eyes
Than a perfect figure,
I 'd rather have a timeless smile
Than a fleeting beauty,
I'd rather joke with the jester
Than hold court with the king,
The latest Vogue
Will eventually be recycled
The curious Mr. Dali who said,
"There is only one difference between the madman and myself…
I am not mad"
But as for me
I am perfectly happy

Being perfectly insane
because their is no denying
I'm crazy for you
A poem about people who are different finding each other and not caring if the rest of the world thinks they are crazy.

I like this piece a lot. EXCEPT -- why does everyone pick on "fat girls"? Maybe something less stereotypical here? Just a thought.
