Description
"The Seeds for Nonviolent Resistance"
(Textbook Illustrations 4-7)
Pen&Ink, Aquarelle
2012
This is the compendium illustration I did for a part about Mahatma Gandhi for a grade school textbook publisher. The concept behind it was that Gandhi planted the seeds of the idea of nonviolent resistance in 1947 and since then it has "born fruit" for people time and time again all over the world.
They asked me to do a series of 7 illustrations for their "interesting people" section, which included: Gandhi, Albert Einstein, and the director Ang Lee (Crouching Tiger, Brokeback Mountain, etc.).
